There is much to be grateful for this year, and so much work still to do. We were able to force the State Department to rethink the Keystone XL. (Thank you Bill McKibben and Tar Sands Action). We were able to make the Delaware River Basin Commission rethink voting to approve fracking the Delaware River Basin. (Thank you Josh Fox, Protecting our Waters, Delaware Riverkeepers, Sierra Club, and everyone who helped with this effort, too many to name, but you all know who you are).
We have an election in less than a year, and it may be the most important election of my lifetime. We have the Occupy Movement to thank for that. Millions all over the world are waking up and realizing, we don't have to take this anymore. The world is ours to rule.
I hope many of you will join us on December 17th at Valley Forge, for the 1st Regional Occupy Meeting & General Assembly, yours is the very voice we need to hear from most. Register at: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/2510902176
I am thankful to my many fractivist friends, who have inspired me to act. Be active. Become an activist.
And the biggest thank you, to Emma Peabody, who woke me up to what was happening while I had been hibernating.
There is so much to do, and I may only have 40 or 50 years to get it all done, so thank you Emma, you gave me a reason to get back out there.
