Thank you for rejecting the permit for the Keystone XL.
As one of the over 1,200 arrested at the 1st Tar Sands Action, I have been working hard to educate voters on the truth regarding this pipeline. It would not create tens of thousands of jobs, the truth is, any jobs created would be toxic, and eventually be a strain on our health care system.
This pipeline would not help us to increase our energy independence, only renewable energy can do that.
Renewable energy is our path to increased National Security, job creation, peace & prosperity, a balanced budget and deficit reduction.
This is the day we have been waiting for Mr. President, lead us forward toward our future, not mired in the muck of our fossil fuel past.
Dirty & diminishing resources create dirty & diminishing economy.
